The "I" shape comes from the single strand of hair with the tip at the end, resembling the letter "I".

Tape-in Micro Links: These are small, cylindrical metal or plastic tubes used to attach hair extensions. The hair is inserted into the tube, and then the tube is crimped or clamped onto the natural hair.
